Northern Exposure 2003

In February 2003, a number of ODMT members participated in a winter drill outside of Anchorage, Alaska (the drill was dubbed Northern Exposure). ODMT joined members from the AK-1, WA-1, and MI-1 DMATs in setting up a base of operations and then training with a mock avalanche scenario. While Alaska was experiencing a record warm winter and there wasn't that much snow on the ground, it was cold enough for the team to understand some of the challenges in operating in a cold environment.
