Recruiting

Following the terrorist incidents in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania, and the recent hurricanes in the Gulf Coast, ODMT has received a number of requests for information from potential volunteer team members. We sincerely appreciate your interest. At this time, we are taking applications from physicians, mid-level providers, licensed nurses, respiratory therapists, lab technicians and pharmacy technicians that will be eligible to respond to disasters in Oregon and anywhere in the United States.

For a team to be federally deployed, NDMS has requirements that a certain number of people fill a specific job type. At this point, we have sufficient staffing for several of these job types (such as paramedic and EMT). However, we are still accepting applications for members who can respond to emergencies within Oregon on our regional teams. Applicants who are accepted will be eligible to be added to the federal NDMS roster as positions become available.

If you're a healthcare professional interested in volunteering for our organization:

  1. Explore this Web site to get a better understanding of what we do.
  2. Explore the NDMS Web site to find out more about DMAT.
  3. Take a look at the ODMT application (Adobe PDF format).
  4. Visit our Contacts page for the name and email address of the regional coordinator for your area.

Due to the large amount of interest in the team, the application process has become quite competitive, and we regret we can't offer membership to all those who apply.

Thank you for your interest.
